printing
We pride ourselves on being extremely flexible and realise that no two jobs are the same. We print up to A0 size, however can accomodate larger jobs if required. We print onto most substrates, paper, card, canvas, vinyl etc, using either solvent or water based inks, depending on job requirements or customer preference.
We work to a 3 tier pricing/payment system, splitting the whole process from initial artwork to delivery of finished prints into 3 sections: explained below in brief, or click the link below for a more detailed .pdf or contact us for a personally tailored quote.
We try to be as honest and open as possible about our pricing structure. However in order to make this price list as user-friendly as possible, this is a concise version. Should you require any part of the fee projection explaining, we will happily provide a more detailed breakdown.

We will take your original artwork and make all necessary modifications to make it print-ready (ie: scanning of image, re-touching, colour seperation, gripping and trapping). This extra artworking is priced at an hourly rate, and is agreed before hand depending on requirements.
Once the screen is prepared we ask you to choose a paper. If you would like paper samples to get a better idea of colour and texture, we will be happy to send a sample swatch of our stock. Similarly if you have sourced paper stock, send us some in and well let you know if we can print on it.
Once the proofs have been approved, we can proceed with the final stage of printing the edition/print job.
artists
We at Up-The-Arts believe in maticulous attention to detail, which is why we offer you a number of extrra finishing services that can make your prints stand out amongst the competition. We offer a foil rub-down service, spot varnishing and an optional bespoke logo embossing/blind stamping on each print.
• We now require the final payment, this covers inks, labour, any extra finishing and postage/delivery costs.
Delivery is by DPD courier service so you'll be given a specific hour delivery window.
We then print a small edition (usually 3) of artists proofs/printers proofs. We either show you the artists proofs in person or send them to you for you to approve or request amends. We retain the printers proofs to colour match to and ensure continuity and accuracy with every subsequent print.
• At this point we ask for a second payment to cover the costs of printing the proofs and as an advance on chosen paper stock.
We then use this finished print-ready artwork to enable us to print the positives in order to prepare the screens.
• At this point before we proceed, we require a deposit to cover the costs of any nessesary artwork hours and the setting up of the screens, to prove your commitment to the job.
